Common signs include a slow engine crank, dim headlights, dashboard warning lights and electrical issues like unresponsive windows or locks. A sulphur smell or swelling on the battery case may also point to internal damage. If your battery is over three years old or shows any of these symptoms, it’s a good idea to get it tested to avoid being stranded unexpectedly.
